Student instructors: How to request a tablet device loan from CSE

Need a tablet device to use for teaching or for conducting office hours?

Students who are GSIs or IAs for courses led by CSE faculty may request the use of a mobile device for use in teaching or teaching support on a term by term basis. This is a loan from the department and the devices must be returned immediately after finals to allow other students to use them in future terms. 

Available devices include:

  • Apple iPad with pencil
  • Microsoft Surface Go 2 with pen and keyboard

You may choose to pick the device up at Beyster (details will be shared at a later date) or you may choose to have the device shipped to your home. Either way, you must return the device to the department immediately following final exams.
