Agent-Based Systems for Coordinating Activities

Ed Durfee
SHARE:

We have been developing technologies for building computational agents that support the decision-making activities of people (or yet other agents) in demanding domains. In particular, our emphasis has been on designing protocols and algorithms that such agents can use among themselves to model and coordinate the actions and interactions of their corresponding individuals or groups. In this talk, I will describe some of our work in plan and policy coordination that is focused on handling complex and dynamic multiagent environments. I will also briefly discuss how some of these techniques might potentially be applied in more everyday environments to help people with cognitive impairments.
