Title: Templates in C++ and Generics in Java: Implementation, Compilation and Programming Considerations

Abstract: Although they both support generic programming, they have very different mechanisms. This coupled with underlying language differences places unique restrictions on their use by programmers. Knowing how each language compiles them will lead to a better understanding of some of these restrictions.
