Research Group on Quantum Communication

SHARE:

An interdisciplinary group (EECS & Math) has formed to study research problems in quantum information theory. We focus on problems in quantum communication. Specific goals include: (1) computing invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), (2) developing models for secure (private) communication, and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. At the meeting on July 5th, Carl Miller will discuss the paper "free randomness can be amplified" by R. Colbeck and R. Renner. (Nature Physics, 2012.)
