Ali S. Khayrallah is a communication systems engineer. His interests are in research and technology for wireless communications. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.Eng. from the American University of Beirut. Since 1995, he is with Ericsson, in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, where he is currently director of research, managing projects in current and future cellular systems. Previously, he was assistant professor in the electrical engineering department at the University of Delaware. He holds more than 40 US patents and has published more than 45 technical papers, and received the Ericsson Inventor of the Year award in 2001.
