Andrew McCrabb recognized with Towner Prize

This award is presented to an outstanding graduate student in each degree program.

PhD candidate Andrew McCrabb has been awarded a 2020 Towner Prize for Computer Science and Engineering by the College of Engineering. This award is presented to an outstanding graduate student in each degree program, and recognizes students with outstanding participation in research, leadership, and academic performance.

McCrabb does research with Prof. Valeria Bertacco on algorithmic hardware accelerators. He develops and implements hardware designs to accelerate graph-based applications, including those that power large social media and financial networks. He recently presented his first accepted publication, titled “DREDGE: Dynamic Repartitioning duringDynamic Graph Execution.”
