This talk aims to bridge the gap between AI ethics and sustainability, advocating for an integrated approach to these concepts in the context of AI technologies. By drawing on existing scholarship in AI, philosophy, and sustainable development, I will illustrate how ethical considerations can inform sustainable practices in the design and deployment of AI systems. I will present some of my recent work, which investigates the convergence of AI ethics and sustainability, aiming to bring together theoretical insights and practical approaches for creating AI systems that are both responsible and sustainable.
