How the IIoT Makes Cars Autonomous, Medical Systems Smart, and Energy Renewable

Dr. Stan SchneiderCEOReal-Time Innovations (RTI)

Over the last 20 years, the Internet changed banking, retail, media, and travel agencies. It created huge new companies and ended many others. But, it didn't touch most of how the world runs. Transportation, medicine, factories, cities, and power systems operate today the same way they did before the Internet.

The Industrial "Internet of Things" (IIoT) will change all that. The IIoT combines the two most compelling technical trends for the next 20 years: artificial intelligence and pervasive device networking. Together, these create intelligent distributed systems that will fundamentally transform our world.

The enabling technology is a data-science approach to connectivity. This software "databus" connects smart devices, fog computing, and the cloud into a reliable, fast system. Applications include Mercedes autonomous cars, Hyperloop One's faster-than-sound transport, and the Airbus flying autonomous car. GE Healthcare is changing hospitals by adding "doctor in the box" technology to networks of 200,000 smart connected devices. And, renewable energy systems from the largest power plant on the continent to the smallest "microgrid" solar systems run with distributed intelligent controllers.

Real-Time Innovations (RTI) CEO, Dr. Stan Schneider, will present this talk. RTI is a fast-growing Silicon Valley company expanding worldwide. Stan is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), the alliance of over 250 companies that forms the center of the IIoT ecosystem.

The IIoT will drive change and innovation across industries. Attend to better understand the most important trend impacting your career.
Stan is CEO of Real-Time Innovations (RTI), the Industrial IoT connectivity company. RTI has an extensive footprint in Energy, Medical, Automotive, Transportation, Defense, and Industrial Control.
