The Law and Philosophy Workshop is jointly presented by the University of Michigan Philosophy Department and the School of Law. On November 6, we will be discussing “Real Ethics for Artificial Agents,” which is work in progress by Peter RailtonGregory S. Kavka Distinguished University Professor and John Stephenson Perrin Professor of Philosophy. Our sessions are pre-read, so workshop participants will have read the paper in advance (cf. attachment to this message). Our session will begin with a brief summary and comments by Eric Swanson, followed by an extended question-and-answer session. The session will take place in 1020 Jeffries Hall at the Law School on Wednesday 11/6 from 4:30 to 6:30pm. After the session, Michigan faculty are invited to dinner with Peter Railton and faculty from Michigan Law and Michigan Philosophy; if you’d like to come to dinner, please email Sarah Moss at [email protected] by Wednesday, October 30.

Professor Railton will begin his talk at 4:30 p.m. in 1020 Jeffries Hall at the Law School.
