Research Group on Quantum Communication
An interdisciplinary group of faculty & students studies problems in quantum information theory with a focus on quantum communication. Specific goals for the group include: (1) developing protocols for quantum cryptography, (2) estimating numerical invariants associated to quantum channels (such as channel capacity), and (3) studying the use of quantum entanglement as a communication resource.
At the meeting on September 12th, we will plan for the coming semester and schedule speakers. All faculty and graduate students are welcome to attend. (Note: The meeting will officially start at 10:20am.)
