C-FAR Annual Review Held at U-M
More than 110 people gathered to collaborate and problem-solve.
The Center for Future Architectures Research (C-FAR) held its Annual Research Review on Nov. 20-21 at the University of Michigan. The event featured research updates from some of the leading researchers in computer architecture on exciting new topics in the field. Prof. Todd Austin is the director of C-FAR.
More than 110 people gathered to collaborate and problem-solve some forward-thinking issues such as thinking beyond conventional Von Neumann processor architectures, design challenges for building heterogeneous systems with accelerators, re-thinking the computing stack for tomorrow’s applications, scaling communication by reducing costs of data movement, building secure and robust systems, and architecting systems to embrace emerging technologies.
