Final beam for Leinweber Computer Science and Information Building is signed, sealed, and delivered

A key milestone is met as the building takes shape.

With the last iron beam for the Leinweber Computer Science and Information Building ready to be lifted into place, both the construction workers for the project and the Leinweber family gathered for a short celebration of this milestone. Everyone attending the August 4, 2023 event signed the beam, after which it was raised into place, completing the supportive structure for the building.

Construction of the building is expected to be complete in mid-2025, after which it will serve as home for the School of Information and will provide significant expansion space for the Computer Science and Engineering Division of the College of Engineering.
