U-M Solar Car Team Head Strategist Leda Daehler (CSE ’16) and Business Lead Edina Lee (EE ’17) work to remove part of the mold from Aurum’s recently cured carbon fiber chassis. Aurum was the team’s 13th generation solar car.

Solar Car Team
Design, build, and race the world’s fastest solar cars.

SPARK Electric Racing
Design and build a race-ready electric motorbike.

Design and build a robotic exoskeleton.

Design and build a fully autonomous marine vehicle.

Electric violin
Constructed out of acrylic, this violin by Project Music includes an inbuilt microcomputer for dynamic effects including reverb and phaser along with a distortion effect based on the player’s movement, gauged by an inertial measurement unit sensor.
