We believe in fostering a more inclusive and diverse CSE community. But to achieve this, we need a collective effort. Here’s a unique opportunity to voice your perspectives and be a part of shaping the future!

Agenda Highlights:

  • DEI Committee Overview by Prof. Nikola Banovic: Delve into our core values, ongoing efforts, and the intricate facets of admissions, climate, and student well-being. 
  • Research Lab Perspective with Prof. Rada Mihalcea: Understand how DEI plays a role in research, setting the tone for its significance.
  • Student Organization Perspectives: Join Madelyn Gatchel from CSEG to learn about DEI initiatives for graduate admissions and recruitment. Postdoc Oana Ignat will speak about her initiative, the LaUNCH Your Confidence workshop as well.
  • Department Support: Magda Calvillo will share about her coaching initiatives focused on graduate student personal and professional growth in a diverse and supportive community.

The event will culminate in a 45-minute Round Table Discussion with coach Magdalena Calvillo, VoiCSEs representatives, and speakers. Engage, question, and share your thoughts on DEI Committee initiatives, research, and student organization endeavors.

And yes, for food lovers – we have scrumptious wraps, salads, pita & hummus lined up from Jerusalem garden. Plus, special swag for all attendees!  (T-shirts are limited, sign up ASAP.)
